On your marks, get ready, go. The Premier is finally here and what a game at the Emirates where Arsenal meets Liverpool, a game both managers would have avoided on the first day.
Finally the curtain on the Premier League will raise on the weekend and the battle for the English title will be on.
Reigning Champions Leicester will travel to meet newly promoted Hull, still looking for a manager, who will be all out to give Ranieri’s boys a setback to their hopes to continue last season successes.
Last year’s second place Tottenham will also be away to Everton in a game which will give some indication on this season ambitions of both teams.
This season three big favourites will see Antonio Conte’s men at home, in the first Monday Night, to ambitious West Ham in the first of the many London derbies. A game which is open to all results, with Chelsea who have much to loose from a negative start.
Whereas the Manchester sides will see United, on Sunday travelling to Bournemouth in search of their first three points after winning the first trophy of the season and City at home on Saturday to Sunderland with a must win for Guardiola and his men.
But for sure the big game of this first day of the Premier will be played at the Emirates Stadium where Arsenal will face Liverpool in a game which both Wenger and Klopp would have been happy to avoid at this stage.
The other matches on this first day of the season will see newly promoted Burnely at home to Swansea, Crystal Palace who will take on West Brom, Middlesbrough against Stoke and Southampton who faces Watford.
