BARI – Bari to continue chasing leaders Cagliari, Livorno in search of its identity. This is the main theme of Sunday’s Serie B encounter which puts infront each other former Livorno’s manager Davide Nicola and Christian Panucci.
First part of the match for Livorno, dangerous from shots by Vergara e Fedato and second part of the first 45’ all for Bari who twice hit the posts through Valliani and Maniero, besides being dangerous with shots from De Luca and Gentsoglou.
Second 45’ with Livorno in 10 men after Vergara was given the marching off order for a second yellow, the home side doubled its effort to try and score but all it managed to earn was a third post hit by De Luca. The chance of the match falls to Maniero who alone in front of Pinsoglio fail to put in the net. Red card shown to Bari’s Gentsoglou and both teams are back on level 10 against 10. But with 3’ to go the San Nicola explodes with joy when Pippo Maniero finally found the back of the net and put Bari ahead. Bari wins and obtain second place in the company of Crotone in chase of leaders Cagliari.
