With a win over West Ham, Chelsea moved nearer to the title re-establishing a 10 point gap at the top of the table.
With both Tottenham and City winning in the weekend, it was important for Conte and his men to get all three points when they travelled to the Olympic Stadium to meet West Ham on Monday Night.
And the Blues did just what was expected from them – win, their 21 victory of the campaign, re-establishing the 10 point margin above second placed Spurs and move closer to the title.
Conte once again guessed the right tactic and having neutralized the West Ham aerial threat, Andy Carroll, the Hammers could do nothing to stop Chelsea from taking the lead in the 25′ when Kante intercepted a pass to launch Eden Hazard who after exchanging with Pedro, hammered home past keeper Darren Randolph.
Conte‘s side doubled the score in the second 45’ when a Hazard‘s corner was turned into the net by Diego Costa for his 17th league goal.
West Ham came near to reopen the match when Feghouli‘s shot was brilliantly saved by Courtois and had a penalty call ruled out by referee Andre Marriner.
Eventually the Hammers managed to pull one back in added time through Andre Ayew.
