What an afternoon for all Wolves fans! The men in gold made history when with an almost perfect display they knocked out one of the favourites to win the Cup, Liverpool.
Paul Lambert‘s boys shocked the Reds at Anfield from the start when in the first minute of play Richard Steaman headed home a perfect Helder Costa freekick.
This early goal seemed to effect Liverpool who failed to produce their usual play and the visitors rocked again Anfield when Costa again set up Austrian Andreas Weimann, on loan from Derby, who rounded up Liverpool keeper Loris Karius to double the score.
