A day to remember in FA Cup history as Lincoln City became the first non-league side in 103 years to reach the quarter-finals of the competion. A day to remember for the 3,210 travelling fans who saw the boys in green write history as they defeated Premiership club Burnley at Turf Moor.
In a match which provided little or none emotions for most of the time reserved a unbelievable breathless final when in the 89′ Sean Raggett rose above the Burnley defence to head in the winning goal.
In the five minutes of added time it was keeper Farman who completed the sensational victory with a save on Andre Gray close shot range and his team mates managed to slash away the last two corner attempts from the home side to try and save the day.
Danny Cowley and his boys now will wait for Sunday’s afternoon draw to know whom they will meet in the quater-finals. Meantime their dream continues…
