Champions Leicester managed to earn a replay thanks to Wes Morgan’s header with just four minutes to go.
Champions Leicester were on their way out of the Emirates FA Cup when with 4′ to go skipper Wes Morgan saved the night with a perfect header from a corner kick to earn them a replay at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday 8 February.
The game started well for the Foxes when after just 8′ play a comical bizarre own goal by Ram‘s striker Darren Bent who miss kicked a clearance to put the ball into his own net put the champions ahead.
But Derby bounced back and the former England‘s forward made amends for his error to level the score.
And with just 5′ to half time, Craig Bryson solo run earned the Championship side the lead, for his first goal of the season for the Rams.
In the second period the Foxes stared on the attack hitting the post through Gray and seeing Scott Carson denying them twice from Okazaki shots before Morgan managed to obtain a late draw.
Leicester should consider themselves lucky that before the final whistle Derby had a penalty appeal turned down when substitute Camara‘s cross hit Huth‘s hand.
