Once again Ibrahimovic is decisive to give Mourinho and United the first honour of the season against Leicester, a worthy opponent.
Manchester United fans can rejoice as Zlatan Ibrahimovic is again decisive, after being so in Holland, Italy and France, when his header in the 83′ from a Valencia cross gave them victory over Leicester, to go and win the Community Shield.
Up to that minute the two teams where locked in a draw with Leicester being the better side in the first 20′ of the first 45′ going near to open the score through Jaime Vardy and twice through Japanese Shinji Okazaki who even hit the crossbar in the 21′. But in the 32′ a solo run by Jesse Lingard put United in front for the joy of new manager José Mourinho.
A goal under, in the second half, Ranieri introduced two new faces in his side, Ahmed Musa who replaced Okazaki and Demarai Gray for Albrighton. These new players with their pace gave United defence quite a hard time and in the 52′ from a solo by Musa and a short back pass from Fellaini gave Jamie Vardy the golden chance to equalise and Leicester were back in the game.
Both side tried hard to prevail on one another until Ibrahimovic goal which ended the deadlock and gave Mourinho a good start to the season.
