Hull and Everton ended 2016 by sharing points in a 2-2 draw which leave both teams exactly where they where before the match started.
Everton were lucky to grasp a point at Hull with a late equalizer from Ross Barkley who headed home to make the score 2-2 in the 84′.
It was the Tigers who opened the score after just 6′ through captain Michael Dawson left unmarked inside the box to bang in his third goal of the season.
Everton managed to get back on equal terms just before the half time whistle when Hull‘s keeper David Marshall was unfortunate to punch in his own net a Kevin Miralla‘s corner.
It was Robert Snodgrass to put back the Tigers in the lead in the 65′ and when the home supporters where about to celebrate the year’s end with a victory that would have lifted them two places from the bottom, Barkley equalized for the Toffees.
A point which lift Hull momentarily from the bottom of the table just a point ahead of Swansea whereas Everton remain ten points away from a place in next year’s Champion’s League.
