A hard fought match which saw the home side coming out as winners over Avellino who did their best to earn a point
From the start Pescara went out on the attack and after only 5’ created their first chance from Lampadula’s shot which went just wide. But Avellino counter attacks made the game fast and moving. It was again Pescara who created the second chance of the game through Benali who saw Fratalli come out of his goal to clear the danger. Pescara managed to get their well deserve advantage on 38’ through Memushaj from the penalty spot.
The second half saw the home side adding the score from Verre but the visitors manage to get one back through substitute Zito. Avellino’s illusion to manage to get a draw suffered a setback when Caprari with a great volley made it 3-1 for the hosts. In the dying minutes of the game it was Mokulu who made it 3-2, with Pescara managing to keep the lead and coming out with a deserved win. A success which boost Pescara’s ambition for promotion.
