Unbelievable Swansea conquer Anfield.

After last week trashing by Arsenal, Swansea registered an incredible win at Anfield dealing a huge blow to Liverpool’s title hopes. Meantime Tottenham where held by City as Chelsea looks forward to extend their lead today against Hull.

 

Simply incredible what occurred at Anfield. Bottom placed Swansea heavily defeated at home by Arsenal scored an incredible victory away at Liverpool, dealing the Reds a huge blow to their title dream.

Twice in the lead through Spanish international Llorente, Paul Clement‘s team was hit twice by Roberto Firmino, to put Liverpool back in contention.

But with 16 minutes to go Gylfi Sigurdsson put the Swans again ahead giving them three important points which lifted then two points above third bottom placed Crystal Palace.

Meanwhile this defeat left Liverpool seven points behind leaders Chelsea who still have to play and can extend their lead to ten points as they face Hull on Sunday.

Even Tottenham‘s ambitions took a blow as they came from 2-0 down at the Etihad Stadium to drew 2-2 with City through a late goal by Son Heung-Min.

Pep Guardiola‘s side looked to be colleting all points as they went ahead 2-0 against Spurs with goals coming from Sané and De Bruyne.

But Dele Alli‘s header put back Spurs in contention before referee Andre Marriner ignored Walker‘s push on Sterling in the area, leaving Guardiola fuming with rage and Son Heung-Min obtained the draw.

Day 22, saw Manchester United disappoint once again as they could only manage a draw at Stoke in the dying minutes of the game thanks to Wayne Rooney‘s goal which puts him as the Red Devil‘s all-time leading scorer.

Bournemouth and Watford drew their match 2-2 with Afobe hitting a late goal to save a point for the home side.

At the bottom Crystal Palace continue in their downhill slide as they were defeated at home by a Seamus Coleman‘s goal for Everton‘s third win in 2017.

Sunderland‘s 2-0 defeat at the hands of West Brom which leave them bottom of the table and West Ham‘s 4-1 win at Middlesbrough which puts the Boro just 4 points above relegation zone .
