The Premiership has it’s new king, Antonio Conte. His Chelsea beat former champions Leicester 3-0 to go seven points clear at the head of the table. A hat-trick from Kane and the thirteenth goal in the season by Giroud helped Tottenham and Arsenal to big wins.
After being beaten by Tottenham, Antonio Conte‘s Chelsea travelled to the King Power Stadium and with a great performance collected all three points putting former champions Leicester in a bad position just 5 points above the red zone.
With Diego Costa left out to mediate about his future at Stamford Bridge, it was former Fiorentina player Marcos Alonso to score twice with Pedro adding a third to secure victory for Chelsea who go momentarily 7 points clear at the top of the Premiership.
Meantime London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal dragged by an outstanding hat-trick from Harry Kane and the thirteenth goal of the season from Olivier Giroud, registered big wins over West Brom and Swansea respectively.
McAuley own goal amid Kane‘s hat-trick sealed Spurs 4-0 victory over West Brom at White Hart Lane, whereas Olivier Giroud‘s thirteenth centre of the season opened the score for the Gunners at the Liberty Stadium who overcame Swansea 4-0. The others goals came from two own goals from Cork and Naughton, before Sanchez added the fourth.
With these three points, Tottenham momentarily go second in the table whilst Arsenal are now third on level points with Liverpool who play today at Old Trafford and City travel to meet the other club from the Merseyside, Everton.
Meantime other big wins were registered by West Ham who defeated Crystal Palace, still searching for a win under Sam Allardyce, 3-0 with a superb bicycle kick from Andy Carroll amid goals from Feghouli and Lanzini.
With the same score 3-1 both Stoke and Hull overcame Sunderland and Bournemouth respectively. For the Potters, Arnautovic scored twice at Sunderland whereas Hernández scored twice to help the Tigers to beat Bournemouth at home to move off the foot of the table under new manager Marco Silva.
Day 21 registered Burnley‘s 1-0 home win over Southampton and a goalless draw between Watford and Middlesbrough.
